“Nestled beneath the dramatic eastern scarp of the Sierra Nevada, the Alabama Hills are a wonderland of granite boulders and arches that provide a feast for the photographer’s lens. This rich landscape of sculpted rock creates a spectacular foreground for towering Lone Pine Peak and Mt. Whitney. In this other worldly landscape many unique photographs are waiting to be revealed among the countless shapes created by the weathered rock.” Paul Dileanis, Photographer/Instructor
The emphasis during the workshop will be on photographing landscapes by day and night. In this workshop you will learn tips for daylight and dusk photography, proper exposure techniques for Raw or jpeg, and how to use neutral density filters to improve your photography. Composition and style will be taught throughout the day.
Night and Milky Way Photography – During the workshop you will learn to prepare and setup a camera for night shooting, how to paint with light as well as proper exposure for a starry night sky and the Milky Way.
The Workshop Fee Includes 2 days of classroom instruction and 3 nights of field instruction.
Lodging, meals, transportation, and park entrance fees (when applicable) are not included in the workshop fee. You will receive lodging information upon registration for the workshop.
