Have you ever wanted to learn to photograph the Milky Way or would you just like to hang out with some other photographers, learn some new techniques and have fun?
Included in this workshop is one in person class session where you will learn basic Milky Way photography, a field session to a special location to capture Milky Way images and a Zoom session to teach you how to process your night photos in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Join photography instructor Paul Dileanis on this photographic journey to explore the world of night photography. Learn to prepare and setup a camera for night shooting, how to paint with light as well as proper exposure for the Milky Way.
This is an excellent occasion for new photographers to learn how to photograph the Milky Way. For more advanced photographers this workshop is an opportunity to refine your night photography skills.
Participants will be responsible for their own transportation. The workshop will take place in the hills south of Hollister. The exact location will be provided to registered students prior to the workshop.
An interchangeable lens camera and a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f2.8 or wider is required. Lenses for the workshop can be rented from San Jose Camera if you do not already own one. You will also need a sturdy tripod and a remote shutter release or intervalometer. You will be provided a complete list of recommended equipment upon registration.
