Join photography instructor Paul Dileanis on this photographic journey to explore the world of night photography. Learn to prepare and setup a camera for night shooting, how to paint with light as well as proper exposure for a starry night sky, the Milky Way and creating star trail photographs.
This is an excellent occasion for new photographers to learn how to photograph the Milky Way. For more advanced photographers this workshop is an opportunity to refine your night photography skills.
Participants will be responsible for their own transportation. The workshop will take place in the hills south of Hollister. The exact location will be provided to registered students prior to the workshop.
An interchangeable lens camera and a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f2.8 or wider is required. Lenses for the workshop can be rented from San Jose Camera if you do not already own one. You will also need a sturdy tripod and a remote shutter release or intervalometer. You will be provided a complete list of recommended equipment upon registration.
